Geek Knowledge Updates for Obama Virus, Acer Smartphone & Eight-core processor
WORM FLOATS OBAMA'S HEAD ON YOUR DESKTOP
The odds are pretty good that this will never happen to you, but should a floating head of U.S. President Barack Obama pop up on your desktop Monday morning, know this: You've been hit with the Obama worm. Though it is not detected by any antivirus products right now, it is not considered to be a serious threat because it has infected so few systems. Because antivirus programs don't detect it yet, it's also hard to know when you've been infected. For more Google the news.

INTEL TO DETAIL EIGHT-CORE XEON PROCESSOR
Intel plans to detail an eight-core Xeon processor at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference in San Francisco next month, offering an early look at what appears to be the company's first eight-core chip. Details of the Xeon processor that will be discussed during the February 9 presentation are scarce.
FULL-DISK ENCRYPTION FOR ALL COMPUTER DRIVES
One of the world's largest computer drive makers published the final specifications for a single, full-disk encryption standard that can be used across all hard disk drives, solid state drives (SSD) and encryption key management applications. Once enabled, any disk that uses the specification will be locked without a password -- and the password will be needed even before a computer boots.

Funnies from oldies - real matrimony ads
Who says seniors don't have a sense of humor? Here are some senior personal ads in a Florida newspaper.
FOXY LADY: Sexy, fashion conscious blue-haired beauty, 80's, slim, 5'4" (used to be 5'6"), searching for sharp-looking, sharp-dressing companion. Matching white shoes and belt a plus.
LONG-TERM COMMITMENT: Recent window who has just buried fourth husband, and am looking for someone to round out a six-unit plot. Dizziness, fainting, shortness of breath not a problem.
SERENITY NOW: I am into solitude, long walks, sun rises, the ocean, yoga and meditation. If you are the silent type, let's get together, take our hearing aids out and enjoy quiet times.
WINNING SMILE: Active grandmother with original teeth seeking a dedicated flosser to share rare steaks, corn on the cob and caramel candy.
BEATLES OR STONES? I still like to rock, still like to cruise in my Camaro on Saturday nights and still like to play the guitar. If you were a groovy chick, or are now a groovy hen, let's get together and listen to my eight-track tapes.
MEMORIES: I can usually remember Monday through Thursday. If you can remember Friday, Saturday and Sunday, let's put our two heads together.
MINT CONDITION: Male, 1932, high mileage, good condition, some hair, many new parts including hip, knee, cornea, valves. Isn't in running condition, but walks well.

Facebook 'Connect' Zaps Site Registration Hassles
Facebook is getting ready to take another stab at introducing a Beacon-like feature that allows your Facebook friends track your Web-whereabouts with a service called Connect. The service is set to launch within a few weeks, according to Facebook.
The Facebook Connect feature will allow participating Connect site owners to share user names and logins. This allows end user to sign into Facebook, for example, and surf over to another participating Connect site and avoid having to create an additional user name and password for access to that site.
Another aspect of the Connect feature will update your Facebook Newsfeed with news as to what participating Connect websites you've visited. For example, if you "dugg" an article on Digg your Facebook Newsfeed would report this.
This is not the first time Facebook has tried to federate user information across the Web. Last year, Facebook's 'Beacon' advertising program backfired at the company, as the program failed to properly warn users that their activity on partner websites was shared on Facebook.
However, this time, Facebook seems to have learned from its previous experience and 'Connect' users will be able to adjust their privacy settings for which actions will be shared on the social network. Besides that, Facebook promises it will be "carefully authorizing" each partner in the 'Connect' program. The new feature will compete with similar offerings from rival social network MySpace and with Google's 'Friend Connect.'
Facebook 'Connect' works in a remote way like 'OpenID.' Basically, using this feature you will be able to access various websites without having to create a new profile and tediously enter all your personal data. This article is adapted from PCWorld. Euthanasia and this Perfect World
Yesternight when I was updating my history of I Think This World Is Perfect, I could explore that myself could be a queer fish but what's that. Is this mercy killing of my sensitivity? And embellishing my private Euthanasia could be no more perfect than that. When Dad writes about this Perfect World, sometimes the world flows so jealous for me that I could have been somewhere else. I could have been a better man.
Absolutely I Think This World Is Perfect has nothing to do with my definition of Euthanasia- take it positive for positiveness. Euthanasia, that's mercy killing but Why? My sensitivity was the victimized to euthanasia for the need of Peace of Mind. Religious Tolerance writes about easy or happy death.
Euthanasia is used to describe the practice, which a doctor or other carer might undertake that might result in shortening a person’s life. This definition could include, withdrawing life-sustaining treatment or the administration of a lethal, non-therapeutic drug. The practice of euthanasia has become illegal, and is recognized in no nation. Euthanasia continues to be regarded as contrary to humanitarian and ethical principles and is highly punishable. (I request you to compare why is it Euthanasia why not Suicide when you become cruel with your damaged kidney?)
Euthanasia has been accepted both legally and morally in various forms in many societies.Western laws have generally considered the act of helping someone to die a form of homicide subject to legal sanctions. Euthanasia, however, occurs secretly in all societies including those in which it is held to be immoral and illegal. The core of the challenge of euthanasia is ethical because human life is in stake.
Further I read between lines in Wiki that prueuthanasia, or “right to die,” movement has received considerable encouragement atleast by few people and "living wills" are praised.
Final words are you all. Euthanasia for a part and not the whole. Ameliorate your solace, let sorrows be thrown away. Make your guilt burn into ashes. Increase your freshness and make This World Perfect, and flow the rhythm.

Wanted: A New Girl For Hrithik Roshan

"I really need to get back behind the camera, It's been quite a while since Life…In Metro released. I'm glad it worked. But I now need to move on."
Anurag's next film will be produced by Rakesh Roshan's company Filmkraft and will feature Hrithik Roshan in a never-before avatar.
The interesting part of this action-romance would be the casting of the leading lady.
Hrithik will pair with a completely new girl, his first female debutant since his debut in Kaho Na…Pyar Hai five years.
"The theme is such that we need a fresh girl. We're searching for her. If we don't find the perfect debutante only then we may consider an established face," says Anurag who earlier for his career-making film Gangster, discovered the stunning Kangana Ranaut.
"Yes," laughs Anurag. "But every day isn't a Sunday. And we may not get that lucky this time. However I'm extremely happy to be working with Hrithik who apparently saw Metro and liked it.
Hrithik and his father are very professional non-intefering people. An added bonus for doing this yet-untitled film is that Hrithik's uncle Rajesh Roshan is doing the music. I've always been his big fan."
While he waits to start his film with Hrithik, Anurag is scripting a film that he's committed to do for UTV.
For now plans of making a sequel to Metro have been put on the back burner.
"I'll do the sequel only when the script is better than the first part. Otherwise there's no point in doing a sequel for any film," says the filmmaker who has survived a terminal illness and is now doing the best work of his life.

Gere Kiss Still Haunts Shilpa Shetty
Five months later, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is still feeling the effects of a kiss from Richard Gere. Immigration officials at Mumbai airport briefly detained Shetty, saying she was still wanted for obscenity charges filed in the wake of the public kiss with the Hollywood star, her publicist, Dale Bhagwagar, said Thursday.Shetty was in tears late Wednesday after being stopped at the airport while on her way to Berlin where the musical "Miss Bollywood" opens this weekend, said Bhagwagar. Shetty plays the musical's lead role."She called me in the middle of the night and was in tears," said Bhagwagar, adding Shetty was finally permitted to join her dance troupe after prolonged questioning."I can understand something like this if I'd committed a criminal offense. But what was my offense, when I'm just an actor, going to perform a musical on foreign land," Bhagwagar quoted Shetty saying.Gere embraced and kissed Shetty on her cheek at a public AIDS awareness event in New Delhi in April, sparking an outcry among conservative hardline Hindus, who claimed the pair had violated the country's strict anti-obscenity laws.A regional court issued arrest warrants against Gere and barred Shetty from leaving the country. The order was soon overturned by the Supreme Court. But the Supreme Court ruling didn't show up in the immigration department computer system, Bhagwagar said.Immigration officials at Mumbai's international airport couldn't be reached for comment, but Bhagwagar said Shetty's lawyers would take up the matter with authorities.Shortly after the April brouhaha erupted, Gere apologized for any offense he may have caused. But the actor also said the controversy had been manufactured by a small hard-line political party.Gere, 58, is a frequent visitor to India, promoting health issues and the cause of Tibetan exiles, tens of thousands of whom live in India.Shetty, a well-known actress in India, became an international star after her appearance on the British reality show "Celebrity Big Brother."
Rohatgi Going through an Image Makeover
Payal Rohatgi of Corporate and Dhol fame is working hard to get an image makeover. Also, Payal has no qualms in accepting that things did go wrong in the past as her earlier films Tauba Tauba and Fun: Can Be Dangerous were branded as sleaze flicks."Yes, I was typecasted. But I am going through an image transformation now. It has taken about three years to get out of my previous image," avers Payal adding that she is moving ahead in her career.Payal maintains that the process of transition hasn't been easy. "But, it's my struggle and I am fine with it," she says adding that she had an inkling that something was going wrong in her career."I had to face the consequences as nobody forced me into it. It was my decision. But I am happy I made those mistakes so early in her career. What if I had worked with Shah Rukh Khan and then goofed up!" quips the computer engineer-turned-actress adding that the mistakes have made her a mature person."I do not come from the industry. But I have realised that it's very important to work with senior directors and good production houses. It makes a lot of difference. Like in 'Dhol', I have a glamorous introduction, but it's not cheap but beautiful," Payal shares. In the Priyadarshan directed film, she plays a club singer opposite Arbaaz Khan . "It's a good role and has added to my growth as an actress," Payal avers. How was the experience of working with the much acclaimed director? "It was great. He's one director I worship right now," exclaims the model who featured with cricketer Virender Sehwag in an ad campaign."The role has turned out exactly what he had told me. I am thankful to him for that," adds Payal. Some of her earlier films including Subhash Ghai 's 36 China Town which was directed by Abbas-Mastan and Madhur Bhandarkar 's 'Corporate' were reasonably successful at the box-office. But she hasn't signed any more films as of now."Talks are on some films, but I'll finalise only after seeing the results of 'Dhol'," Payal says adding that she has great expectation from the film.So what's Payal's ambition as an actress? "'Dhol' has me in the second lead. But I wish to upgrade to playing lead roles and want to be in the league of respected actresses of the industry."At one point of time, I would like to shoulder a film on myself. I am putting my best efforts towards it," says Payal."I won't say that I dream of playing etched characters like Meena Kumari's in 'Pakeezah'. Though I have seen the film 20 times but you can't compete with something as classic as that. So my focus is on doing some good work with good directors where I can grow as an actress," Payal concludes.
Knightley Hates Red Carpet Events
Actress Keira Knightley went on a rant against having to appear on the red carpet and being thin in Hollywood. Ananove.com reports that speaking to a US magazine Knightley said: 'I absolutely hate red carpet events. I don't like the fact that people write 'Oh you look like crap' in print. I'm not Wonder Woman!''You know, skinny people are allowed to feel s**t about themselves,' she added. She then went on to slam people who are not too thin saying, 'I have noticed I create an anger in people who are not skinny. People like to blame their insecurities on others.'Knightley who has starred in such hits as 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and 'Bend it Like Beckham' now appears in the new movie 'Atonement'.

Rakhi Sawant and works of her sensations
Once again in another post to mark Rakhi Sawant Sensations alive at my share world blog after having searched the demands of my Indian fellow friends, I found some of the notables around the web for this beauty queen (I'm not saying huh... it you? Disagree comment). I still know some of my regular visitors will nose off this post.
Not all men are bad, but even if they were, we still have to make do with them.
I will dump him rather than change my life style. It’s my life yaar, who is he to tell me what to wear and what not to. We live in modern times where both the partners have got the freedom to do their own things.
Yes, I dig metrosexual men for why should only woman look good and spend hours in the salon. It works both ways, even the woman has the right to expect her husband to look after his appearance.
Item girl Rakhi Sawant would be seen as a singer, in her new album SUPER GIR, under the banner of Venus. For the promotional video of her debut album, she has not just sung but also performed to the choreography and direction of Pappu Maalu.

Bollywood to Have Its First Theme Park

Percept Holdings, a media and entertainment company, is constructing the theme park at an initial cost of $100 million in a sign of the growing taste for merchandising in an industry evolving from family firms to Hollywood-style companies.
"Bollywood is what the Indian masses turn to for entertainment," said Shailendra Singh, a top official of Percept Holdings which is building the park in Mumbai, India's cinema and entertainment capital.
"Bollywood accounts for over 40 percent of the total revenues of the overall Indian film industry, but there is no organised format or means to consume this experience."
The theme park, due to open in 2008, will have Bollywood cafes, a hall of fame, museums, Bollywood rides, sets, shoot visits and simulator experiences. Despite being so prolific -- Bollywood makes more than 800 films a year -- the industry's revenues stand at half of what the Walt Disney studio made in box office revenues in 2006. But studios and analysts say the industry is aiming at following Hollywood with "media convergence" -- the buzzword for plastering products across an array of media such as television, the Internet, video games and mobile phones -- to raise revenues.
Revenues from India's film industry, valued at about $1.75 billion in 2006, are forecast to nearly double to $3.4 billion by 2010, according to estimates by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
