Uplifting Nepali Handwriting Recognition

Yesternite I got a chance to websurf for enough materials that are meant to uplift Nepali languages in the web. Unicode Nepali and using Nepali language in daily common use in the internet is no more new stuffs for a regular surfer. But here comes something else…

The international journal "Template-based Nepali Handwritten Alphanumeric Character Recognition" accounted by Santosh KC and Cholwich Nattee presents a lot of possibilities for the true use and uplifting the Nepali Handwritting Recognition technology. Having been pondering over my frequent use of UnicodeNepali.com, I enjoyed a lot with this journal, leaving few queries behind for me to ask with the responder.

A number of articles/journals by Er Santosh KC and Cholwich Nattee can be read if you like their works- with gist list below.

o   Stroke Number and Order Free Handwriting Recognition for Nepali - 9th Pacific Rim International Conference in Artificial Intelligence (PRICAI), Guilin, China, August 7-11, 2006.
